Reversed Lens Photography is the combined work of Will Darden and Emma Easley Darden. Each of us has a slightly different style, allowing us to work together to catch both the expected and unexpected moments. This blog is our daily work-- some of it is from our shoots and some from the images captures while just living our life with our baby girl and our crazy friends. Hope you enjoy the glimpse.

Off track

We're having issues with our card reader, so it may be a day or two before I post the next batch. Hopefully no one is waiting with bated breath.

Purpose?

We had the northwest version of a snow storm on Monday. Will couldn't get down our very, very steep driveway for a few hours so he took the baby out to see "SOOOOOO!!!!" When she got to it, though, she couldn't quite figure it out.

This is what we call a "fast shot": we were playing with our soft box on Sunday but it's the only shot we took that day.

Devotion

I may make a (back-dated) post with some of the photos from the last few weeks that just haven't gotten posted in the all of the wedding craziness. I am making another valiant stab, though.

Balanced

We went out with Gus' coworkers last night and so we were missing leftovers for lunch. I opted for lightness-- plain yogurt with cranberry-orange granola.

First of many

I had another picture planned for today. But during the afternoon, Chie was sitting in my lap with the camera (she loves to mimic us on everything and this is no exception) and she shot this. She was very proud of herself as she held it up-- quite a feat for a not-quite-two-year-old-- and said, "Pit-chers!" The light at the end is of her bedroom window, as you come out of our hallway.

I heart you

Our much-beloved child care person is moving on to greener pastures (read: a full-time, high-paying nanny gig) and so she threw a little party for Chie and her friends. This was her take-home gift.

Remnants

Emma has been painting our bedroom a very brilliant shade of blue. She says that it will be a nice space to work. Here's hoping.

Piled up

After our client meeting, we stopped by Uncle Paul's Produce Market. It's a giant tent full of farm fresh goodies. I think I snapped about fifteen photos, but these just looked so luscious.

It can haz be weakend yet?

You know, I think these 3 day weeks are actually harder on me than the 5 day ones. At least when I have a 5 day week, I can sleep at work sometimes.

(If anyone I work with reads this, please know that I Don't Sleep At Work. Really.)

Self-portrait in a bag

If you look closely, you can see my reflection in the ornaments. I was too tired to actually go down and get the boxes out to put Christmas away. But I was also tired of saying, "No, baby, one finger touch." So they're just in a bag.

Carb attack

Our daughter is obsessed with "su-we-all." She regularly requests "buh-ees" (aka Annie's Honey Bunnies) and "num-noh" (oatmeal). I guess she's getting her fiber.
